Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter starrer Dhadak released last Friday and is doing quite well at the ticket windows. Both the debutants have been touted as the best thing about the movie as well. While Ishaan and Janhvi have been busy promoting the movie the past few months, now, they finally have the time to sit back relax and enjoy the success of their film. Recently, Janhvi spoke to Hindustan Times, about the overwhelming love she’s been getting from the audience.
Here’s what she said:
The love has been overwhelming. More than anything else, it feels good to know that we’ve moved people with this message that we were trying to convey. I’m just happy about any form of acceptance, so I have a chance to work more and do better at what I love. To see my father, Shashank and Karan feeling so proud and happy means the world to me.
She also revealed that her dad and sister had quite an emotional reaction to watching her on the big screen:
Khushi was crying… She looked at me and said, ‘Why are you worrying?’ and then started crying again. Papa actually saw the film a month ago, and as soon as the screening was over, he went to the temple. That night he came to my room and held me tight and started crying.
We are looking forward to what Janhvi has in store for us next! If reports in Deccan Chronicle are to be believed, Janhvi will be seen in a glamorous role next, something that is completely different from her role in Dhadak.
