Janhvi Kapoor is currently basking in the success of her debut film Dhadak. Yesterday, she had revealed that both her dad Boney Kapoor and sister Khushi Kapoor had become emotional after watching her on the big screen. We can only imagine how proud the family is of the debutante. For the last few months, Janhvi has been busy promoting her film and while she was quick to answer most questions, there was one question she effectively dodged. When she was asked whether Khushi would join Bollywood as well, she said she’ll leave it to Khushi to answer that for herself.
But now, looks like papa bear Boney Kapoor has confirmed that Khushi, just like her elder sister would like to become an actress.
In an interview with SpotBoye, when he was asked how he managed to convince Sridevi to allow Janhvi to become an actor,
He said,
I wouldn’t say that I motivated Janhvi. I encouraged her to let her do what she wants. Why curb someone’s natural instincts? Like for one, I didn’t know until Salman (Khan) told me that Arjun has it in him to become an actor. On the other hand, my eldest child, Anshula is extremely academically inclined. And Khushi first wanted to become a model- but has now shifted her focus to becoming an actress.
Previously, Sridevi had revealed in an interview that her younger daughter Khushi wanted to get into modeling. During her promotions, Janhvi had also admitted that in fact, her mom wanted Khushi to get into acting and wanted her (Janhvi) to pursue medicine and become a doctor.
Well… looks like Khushi would love to follow in her mother’s and sister’s footsteps.
