India Couture Week 2018 came to a beautiful close last night and I’m still reeling from all the prettiness I saw. Five nights of stunning couture creations, each that will leave you mesmerised. But to add to the glam that the outfits brought, the celebrities in them won me over even more. From Aditi Rao Hydari in Tarun Tahiliani‘s opening show to Shilpa Shetty Kundra‘s appearance for Amit Aggarwal‘s couture debut—Check it all out here:
1. Aditi Rao Hydari For Tarun Tahiliani
Abundant with Swarovski crystals teamed with a no-fuss dupatta, Aditi looked ethereal in this peach ensemble by Tarun Tahiliani. The statement jewellery and sleek hair added to the elegance of this showstopping look.
2. Kangana Ranaut for Anju Modi
Inspired by the Victorian era, Anju Modi beautifully blended desi wear and English silhouettes into this one outfit that Kangana Ranaut walked down the runway in. The velvet cape, the hair and detailed embroidery, all lent an old world charm to this look, don’t you think?
3. Kareena Kapoor Khan for Falguni & Shane Peacock
All that glitters is gol…er, is Kareena Kapoor Khan in Falguni & Shane Peacock! This all-gold ensemble hit all the right spots—The detailed patterns, the play of feathers as well as the minimal jewellery.
4. Shilpa Shetty Kundra for Amit Aggarwal
Shilpa Shetty Kundra was Amit Aggarwal‘s muse as he made his debut at India Couture Week. Shilpa is known for her sari style, so when we saw her closing the show in this sexy, structured sari by Amit Aggarwal, the harmonious blend of the both their aesthetic was fully evident.
5. Kiara Advani for Shymal & Bhumika
The ICW runway saw a fresh colour of mint green as Kiara Advani walked out in this summer-bride-appropriate lehenga. The missing dupatta didn’t even cross our minds as just the blouse and flared lehenga was enough.
7. Yami Gautam for Reynu Tandon
We often see flowers dominate the world of lehenga–cholis, saris, anarkalis and more. But Reynu Tandon’s blend of branches and other elements of nature into Yami Gautam‘s ensemble was one that will leave you in awe of couture as a whole.
