After Shahid, Newton, Omerta and many other critically acclaimed films, Rajkummar Rao is finally getting the commercial appreciation he deserved. His latest stint was alongside Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Fanney Khan. But unfortunately, the film could not rake the numbers that it thought it could. But the actor doesn’t seem to be too miffed with the ratings or box office numbers. Talking to Mid-Day about how the reviews affected him,

He said,

Poor reviews doesn’t affect my mindset. Those people couldn’t connect to the story is a momentary setback. But then, you learn your lesson.

He further added that an actor cannot keep giving films that are always accepted by the audience.

I have read reviews where people said that they wanted to see more of my character in the narrative. That is encouraging. At the end of the day, I can only control my honesty in the film. What people like or dislike is not in my hands. We can’t always make films which will get a five-star rating. It’s fine with me. I just have to keep working and keep believing in things that matter to me.

I can’t wait to see what Rajkummar has in store for us next.
