It was months ago that the official announcement of Priyanka Chopra joining Bharat opposite Salman Khan came out. Ever since then fans have been excited for the two coming together on the big screen once again. Which is why it came as a shock to everyone when Priyanka decided to opt out of the film. Apparently, it was 10 days before PeeCee started shooting for the film that she informed the makers about wanting an out.
The reason for this was her rumoured engagement with Nick Jonas. But later, reports also suggested that a Hollywood film opposite Chris Pratt may have been the reason for it. All this while, there has been speculation that Salman is upset with Priyanka about it. Well, we finally have the star’s response to the whole debacle.
It was during Loveratri’s trailer launch event that Salman was asked about the incident and at first he had a funny response to it.
Upon being probed on the matter a little more, he opened up and shared his side of the story.
Salman may not be happy about Priyanka’s decision but as they say, someone’s loss is someone’s gain and after PeeCee walked out of the film at the last moment, Katrina Kaif was brought on board for her role.
