While Manish Malhotra had predicted that the ‘affair of the year’ would be that of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, speculations had turned up a notch when the duo arrived together for Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja‘s reception. It’s been a while since then and Ranbir even confirmed the two were together in an interview with GQ. Now, the rumour mills have been churning out news that the two may even get hitched soon. Up until now, Alia has remained tight-lipped about her relationship. Finally, she spoke about all the marriage rumours that have been doing the rounds and here’s what she had to say.
At a recent event, she said,
I don’t react to rumours. Rumours are not meant to be reacted upon. As long as you aren’t entering my bathroom, I am fine because if you are not talking about me then maybe I am not relevant enough. But honestly, I am in a very good place both personally and professionally so no issues whatsoever.
Woohoo! Strong words girl. But we understand why she does not want to talk about her private life as much.
She was also asked how it was to work with an actor that she was dating and whether it adds to the performance.
She said,
When you’re an actor, your job is to act. When you’re in front of the camera, it doesn’t matter who you are dating, not dating, whether you’re tall or short or fat or unhappy or very happy. Sometimes, there have been days when I’ve been very upset but I had to dance around and feel very excited. So that’s the process of being an actor.

While I totally ship Alia and Ranbir, I’m super excited for what they have waiting for us in their upcoming magnum opus, Brahmastra. I have a feeling it’s going to be EPIC!
