Priyanka Chopra‘s engagement ring has had its peek-a-boo moment with the paparazzi, but yesterday we got a good look at it, albeit accidentally. The couple got engaged in London, while they were celebrating her birthday. The surprising engagement was quite a shocker but it was the heartwarming details of the event that made us go aww… Nick Jonas shut down the Tiffany & Co. store in London to ensure he had the privacy to shop for this life-changing moment.

Every girl dreams of a perfect ring and why not if you’re planning to wear it for the rest of your life. Priyanka’s Tiffany & Co. ring is worth approx $200,000, as reported by E! News. They got this estimate from President of WP Diamonds, who also gave further details about the ring in their report. He further explained, “Priyanka’s ring is a high-quality cushion cut weighing around 4 carats. It looks to be somewhere around a G colour, VS1 clarity which, from Tiffany & Co, would have a value of around $200,000.”

It’s difficult not to drool over the style of her ring. Of course, the colour and the clarity plays a crucial part in the selection of a diamond. But, for us girls, the shape matters the most, amirite? Priyanka’s ring has a cushion cut, which is such a classic, but here are the different diamond cuts you should check out before you lock yours down:

1. Cushion Cut

Two cuts in one, cushion cut is a combo of square and round cut. The shape is of a cushion and hence the name.

2. Round Cut

The original cut that is not only the most famous one but also the most expensive one.

3. Princess Cut

The princess cut has gained its popularity is short span as it has been reportedly invented in just 1960.

4. Emerald Cut

If you are looking for a unique cut, then emerald could be a choice.

5. Oval Cut

The oval cut is similar to round cut when it comes to its brilliance, but as the name suggests it’s an elongated version of the round cut.

6. Pear Cut

Another statement-making cut is the teardrop shape or the pear shape diamond.

7. Heart Cut

For a diehard romantic, nothing speaks louder than a diamond in a heart shape.
