Actor Sujata Kumar, who essayed the role of Sridevi’s sister in Gauri Shinde’s English Vinglish passed away last night. The actress was battling cancer at the fourth stage and breathed her last at 11.26 pm last night.
Sujata’s sister, actor, and singer, Suchitra Krishnamoorthi took to Twitter to confirm the news and wrote,
Our beloved Sujata Kumar has passed away and moved on to a better place leaving us with an umimaginable void. She left us an hour ago at 11.26 pm on the 19th of august 2018..Life can never be the same again …

The actress was admitted in Lilavati hospital in Bandra, Mumbai on the 18th of August and passed away due to multiple organ failure. After Sujata was admitted, Suchitra had shared the news about her with her followers and had written,

Apart from English Vinglish, Sujata was also seen in Raanjhanaa and Guzaarish, and Anil Kapoor’s television show 24.
