Vipul Shah’s 2002 heist thriller Aankhen was a film that was one of its kind back then. The film was a perfect mixture of a thriller and drama and it kept the masses on the edge of their seat. While the film released almost 16 years back, makers are now planning to kick off the sequel which will be helmed by Anees Bazmee, reported Mumbai Mirror. While Amitabh Bachchan has joined the sequel, the other star cast is yet to be decided.
Apart from Mr. Bachchan, the film might also star Vicky Kaushal or Sushant Singh Rajput. A source told the tabloid that the shooting will kick-start next year and will release in 2020. The source also added that it will star Chinese star, Jackie Chan. The film’s plot deals with a Chinese Casino and thus Jackie looked like a perfect fit.
Aankhen starred Akshay Kumar, Arjun Rampal, Paresh Rawal and Sushmita Sen and now that the work for the sequel is already in the pipeline, we can’t wait for this one!
