After their brief stint in Dolly Ki Doli, Rajkummar Rao and Sonam Kapoor will be seen together on-screen in Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. The posters and the teaser of the movie had released a few months ago and it looked quite refreshing. Anil Kapoor and Juhi Chawla will also be seen playing pivotal roles in the film. While we are super excited for this family-drama and pumped to see if this love story has any connection to the 1994 hit 1942: A Love Story, we came across this news from the makers. As per recent reports in Mid-day, Raj and Sonam may have to re-shoot some scenes in the movie.
Turns out the producer of ELTDTAL, Vidhu Vinod Chopra saw a few scenes from the movie and he wasn’t satisfied with it. Both Rajkummar and Sonam were requested to take time off from their busy schedules to re-shoot the film. While Sonam starts shooting for The Zoya Factor from today, Rajkummar is currently busy with the promotions for Stree. Ever since VVC spoke out about his reservations about the film, both the actors have been trying to find time and shuffle their schedules to accommodate reshoots. Both Sonam and Rajkummar need to allot 15 days for the re-shoot and if this is completed by the end of September, the makers will be able to meet the deadline and the film will be released as per the original plan. When the actors got to know about the issue, there were more than willing for the re-shoot as this is supposed to be a family drama and want the film to strike the right chord with the audience.
The project is directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s sister Shelly Chopra Dhar and the original release date was supposed to be 19 of February 2019.
We hope the actors can work their schedules out and get the film in theatres as per the original release date!
