Abhishek Bachchan will back on the big screen again with Anurag Kashyap’s Manmarziyaan after a break of 2 years. The trailer has left everyone intrigued about the complicated story that Anurag Kashyap is planning to bring to life. While love stories and complicated love stories are just all too common in Bollywood, this is the first time we’ll probably get to see Anurag direct one. This is the first time that Vicky Kaushal and Taapsee Pannu will be working with the director. But did you know that Abhishek Bachchan has already worked with him before?
Yup! He has! While working on Yuva. Apparently, Anurag was one of the writers of the film. But turns out all wasn’t well between Anurag and Abhishek back then. In an interview with DNA, Abhishek opened up about how Anurag didn’t like Abhishek that much back then.
That’s history now. I first worked with Anurag in Mani Ratnam’s Yuva; he had written it. I don’t think he liked my work in the film. And it’s only fair because we had spent a lot of time doing readings for the film. So somewhere, maybe he felt a little disappointed when he watched the movie. But we never spoke about it. Now, we’ve put all that behind us.
Well, we’re glad the actor and director have put their differences behind to come together for a movie.
