Imtiaz Ali always manages to get our attention, every time he works on a film. Currently, the filmmaker is promoting his brother’s directorial venture, Laila Majnu starring Avinash Tiwary and Tripti Dimri. While we cannot wait to witness this love saga, the filmmaker announced his next project on the occasion of Janmashtami and we are already excited.
Ali who has given us films like Jab We Met, Tamasha and Highway is currently working on his next script which will narrate the story of Radha and Krishna’s love saga. Sharing the news with his fans, Imtiaz wrote,
Earlier, there were reports of Imtiaz collaborating with Shahid Kapoor for a film again after Jab We Met. While fans were excited about this reunion, Imtiaz in an interview had said,
I never announced a film. I never said I am making a film. I never said I am working with Shahid Kapoor. So now when people ask me that the film is not happening, I reply, ‘Which film?’ I never said it. Jisne bola usko bolo (Go talk to the person who spoke about it). There’s no truth to it.
He had also added,
There will be more news like this because the fact is, I keep meeting actors because some of them I have worked with and there are going to be friendships, we meet, there is always going to be some speculation…
Back then, the filmmaker had revealed that he had two scripts ready.
I have developed two screenplays. I have turned producer so I have to keep some material ready… The only asset that you have in this work is a script. So once these four scripts are ready, depending upon the availability of the suitable actors, I will start working.
Coming back to this flick, we can’t wait for Imtiaz to cast the leads already!
