Pallavi Manoj , 03 Sep 2018

Mouni Roy is one of the most celebrated and loved actresses of TV town. And as many aspire to do, Mouni recently made her transition from TV to Bollywood with a stunning debut in Gold leaving us wanting to see more of her on the big screen. While she has a couple of roles in her kitty, the biggest one she has in the pipeline is Ayan Mukherji‘s romance-fantasy Brahmastra which also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in lead roles. Mouni is rumoured to play the role of an antagonist and has been training hard for the role. Being a fantasy driven flick, the film will see a whole lot of stunts and director Ayan has even recruited Israeli movement coach Ido Portal to train the actors for the same.

A source revealed to Mid-Day what was expected of Mouni who will be playing the villain.

As a villain, Mouni is expected to be lithe, agile and fast-footed. She has been training in free-running and gymnastics with Kuldeep since January, and has also been working on her flexibility.

Talking about her training, Mouni said,

We didn’t train in a particular form of martial arts, but in routines that can make us equipped to perform all kinds of action. I guess, you could label our training as one that makes me a Jack of all trades.

Mouni said that she is not worried that she is playing a villain so early in her career as she’s technically been in the industry for around 9 years. She also said that it’s about the role she’s playing and if she is intrigued by the story she wouldn’t mind doing it.

We can’t wait to see Mouni in a dark role and we’re sure she’s going to be EPIC!
