Sonam K Ahuja and Anand S Ahuja had tied the knot earlier this year in (probably) the biggest Bollywood wedding ever. While the rest of us scooped up on all the inside photos and fun videos of our favourite celebrities posing and dancing their hearts out, there was one person who was on cloud nine and it’s none other than the father of the bride, Anil Kapoor. He was the life of the party and seemed genuinely happy for his daughter. And why wouldn’t he be?
Seems like Anil and Anand have always had a great friendship even before the wedding. But more recently it was visible when he had wished his son-in-law with a heartfelt birthday post on Instagram.

Anil’s recent interview with Hindustan Times proves that he more than approves of his daughter’s choice of life partner.
He’s not my son-in-law, he’s like my son… I’d say, friend. We bond over health, fitness and loving our parents and family. He’s very work-oriented, so we talk about that. Of course, there are things that I learned from him since he has travelled so much, has studied in one of the best universities.
He further added on what kind of things they bond over.
He’s young and comes up with great, fresh ideas where health is concerned. He has a lot of depth and is very spiritual. It’s a combination of so many things we relate and connect to.
