Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree, is minting moolah at the box office. The film has not only impressed the masses but its box office numbers showcase that the film is here to stay. With so much success pouring in for the film, recent reports suggested that the film will have a sequel. When we got in touch with producer Dinesh Vijan for the same, he explained that the film will not only have a sequel but also a third part.
Dinesh explained,
If you watch Stree, you will realize that the last two shots were left open-ended for a reason. It’s been written as a three-part series, so yes and that was planned well in advance, it’s a kind of franchise. It’s not that the first one has done well so we are doing a sequel. The plan was always in the writing to have multiple parts of this one.
When further questioned whether the following part will be set in Chanderi, he added,
You’ll have to buy a ticket to know that.
Talking about the success the film has received, Vijan said,
The love fans are showering on us is the reason for its success. I would really like to thank the audience for so much love and appreciation.
Stree left me at the edge of my seat and I can’t wait to watch what the next part does. I’m so excited for this one!
