Is it just me or does September always feel like May? With the high levels of humidity and soaring temperatures, this month actually makes it seem like we’re stuck in the middle of summer. Usually, the heat makes me feel like a sweaty mess but this year, I’m better prepared. Ahead are 5 beauty products that I swear by to help me get through this sweltering month.

1. CliniqueFIT Post-Workout Mattifying Moisturizer

My skin type is combination, which means that I can’t step out of the house without some type of moisturiser on my face. Most products leave my skin feeling heavy and greasy in this weather – except this one! The oil-free formula gives me the hydration I need on my cheeks, whilst mattifying my T-zone. I had honestly picked it up for my gym bag, but it’s now found a permanent place in my daily skincare routine.

2. Estēe Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup

When it gets too hot, I prefer to go barefaced. However, there are times when I can benefit from a little coverage. On those days, I turn to this highly acclaimed foundation. Not only does it stay put throughout the sweatiest of days, but also keeps the shine at bay. Most of all, I love using it for its natural-looking finish and the fact that it doesn’t clog up my pores.

3. Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner

If I were to have a signature makeup style, a cat-eye would definitely be a part of it! My eyes always feel a little lost without eye liner on them. Although I’ve played around with several liquid liners, I always turn to Stila’s liner in such weather. The felt tip helps me draw on my wings easily, whilst the waterproof formula ensures that my eye makeup doesn’t smudge, run or flake.

4. Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color

Usually, I’m a liquid lipstick junkie. In this heat though, I can’t stand the chalky and dry finish. Instead, I opt for tinted lip balms and sheer lipsticks to contrast against my matte skin. My current favourites are these lush lipsticks. In just one coat, they give me a flush of colour and loads of hydration.

5. Kama Ayurveda Pure Rose Water

I don’t know how I survived before I got my hands on this mist! A quick spritz instantly cools down my face and refreshes my makeup, without leaving behind a sticky film. Plus, the decadent smell always lifts my mood.
