Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated just as much as on social media as it was on the streets in India. Along with common folk, celebrities took to social media to share their special moments with Bappa and wished their fans and followers a very Happy Ganesh Chaturthi. King Khan joined in by sharing a picture of his youngest son Abram Khan with his hands folded in front of their Ganpati idol and the cutest caption to accompany it. While we all awwed over how cute it was for Shah Rukh Khan to share such a picture, looks like another side of the internet was not so happy with this particular post that he put up, to put it lightly.

Soon, SRK’s comment section was filled with hate comments mostly pointing out that he was being disrespectful to his own religion.

Take a look at the post.

Some of these comments are extremely spiteful and will leave you shaking your head.

While there were many other fans who countered that Shah Rukh lives a secular life by celebrating all kinds of festivals, unfortunately, SRK’s comment section has become a sort of ground for people to throw communal slurs at each other. What we thought was a fairly innocent and cute picture has now turned into a battle of words between fans.

We hope people are a little more understanding and sensitive and learn to accept each other as they are.

Spread some love y’all!
