The most expensive TV show ever produced and the most watched and loved show in the history of television has gotta be the one and only—Game Of Thrones, don’t you agree? We’ve been obsessing over the catchphrases, the characters and the plot. Each season had us at the edge of our seats and we’re super excited for the coming season that’s the reason why we can’t keep calm. On that note, our friends at IMDb got us inside information on actors who auditioned and were almost cast on GOT. So, let’s get right to it.
1. Tricia Helfer
This beautiful and talented model turned actor auditioned for Cercei‘s role.
2. Izzy Meikle-Small
The popular actress from Never Let Me Go auditioned for Sansa Stark but sadly could not be cast.
3. Mahershala Ali
The famous actor from Moonlight and House of Cards auditioned for the role of Xaro Xhoan Daxos and got rejected. Apparently, it was one of the worst auditions of his life.
4. Sam Heughan
He was famous for his role in Outlander, Heughan auditioned for 7 different roles in GOT, and even though it was pretty close, sadly he wasn’t cast for any.
5. Sam Claflin
Claflin also auditioned for the role of Jon Snow and Viserys Targaryen.
6. Jared Harris
The extremely talented actor auditioned for the roles of the High Sparrow and Jonathan Pryce.
