History repeats itself, especially when it comes to fashion. The SS’19 runway from fashion month showed us that the trends from the ’70s and ’80s are coming back and how. One trend, in particular, is probably new to international runways but has already been owned by every Indian child. We’re talking about biker shorts aka cycling shorts aka tights aka slacks (if you may). Yup, you read that right. Everyone from the Kardashians to high-end designers are adapting to this casual yet statement-making garment. And all they remind me of is my childhood. When I wore these for comfort and ease to ride my bicycle faster than all of my other friends.
But this new take on athleisure is making street style photographers stop and stare while also making a mark on the international runway.
