History repeats itself, especially when it comes to fashion. The SS’19 runway from fashion month showed us that the trends from the ’70s and ’80s are coming back and how. From billowy sleeves to tiny bags, tinier sunglasses, wide-legged denim and more—what we’re saying is, you can probably go back in time and grab some clothes from your mum’s closet cause they’re all the rage RN.

One trend, in particular, is probably new to international runways but has already been owned by every Indian child. We’re talking about biker shorts aka cycling shorts aka tights aka slacks (if you may). Yup, you read that right. Everyone from the Kardashians to high-end designers are adapting to this casual yet statement-making garment. And all they remind me of is my childhood. When I wore these for comfort and ease to ride my bicycle faster than all of my other friends.

But this new take on athleisure is making street style photographers stop and stare while also making a mark on the international runway.

Here are the celebrities and bloggers we spotted wearing this trend:

But we’ve gotta admit, biker shorts can be quite tricky to style.  The look can go either way if not paired with the right garments and accessories. What do you think of history repeating itself with this trend? Let us know in the comments below!
