When it comes to chic dressing, Anushka Sharma‘s outfits score ten on ten, always. It is the way celebrity stylist Allia Al Rufai manages to pair separates that we wouldn’t imagine being put together. But the separates do work well together and we’re left wondering what she’d be in next.
Today it was an all-black look that had separates, which we wouldn’t have visualised together. But Allia pulled off this textural bliss like a pro. She teamed an organza shirt that featured a bow collar with a striped skirt that had a mix of sequins and pleather-like material from 431:88 by Shweta Kapur. Unexpectedly, the organza and sequins didn’t clash or look crass. Keeping it classy, she styled it with ankle-strap heels and black stud earrings.
The one lesson we can surely take away from this look is that you can pair two statement-making garments and still not make it look OTT. Also, investing in such separates is great as you can come up with many OOTDs featuring on one focus garment. For example, Anushka Sharma’s skirt can be easily worn with an off-white satin shirt. Moreover, the organza shirt can be paired with tailored, flared pants.
