Ever since Housefull 4 was announced, fans were eager to know what the fourth part about the franchise has to offer. While the third part of the franchise was directed by Sajid and Farhad, Sajid Khan dons the director’s hat yet again for the fourth part (he directed Housefull and Housefull 2) and we are looking forward to what the film holds. There were reports earlier that this Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Kriti Kharbanda, Kriti Sanon and Chunky Pandey starrer had a Baahubali connection and we shared it with you. Now we have exclusively learnt that the film just doesn’t have parts but most of the film will have a period-drama feel.

A source close to the project revealed that Housefull 4 has a past and present connect. The film deals with the topic of reincarnation and our favourite actors will be seen donning royal avatars. The pairing of the leading ladies and leading men will differ in the era, the film will showcase.

The source said,

In the past sequence, Kriti Sanon is paired opposite Akshay Kumar, Pooja Hedge with Riteish Deshmukh and Kriti Kharbanda opposite Bobby Deol. In the present sequence, Kriti Sanon will be paired opposite Bobby, Pooja opposite Akshay Kumar and Kriti Kharbanda opposite Riteish Deshmukh.

The source also revealed that while the present era story will showcase the girls coming from affluent families and guys trying to woo them, in the past era, the characters will be seen royal avatars. The cast and crew who were shooting for the past sequence in Suryagarh Jaisalmer and have recently wrapped their schedule and began their next schedule in Mumbai on the 10th of October.

The past sequence is the majority of the film whereas the present sequence just has a few scenes and a song. The entire past sequence has a Padmaavat and Baahubali feel and the audience will see Kriti Sanon dressed as Deepika Padukone from Padmaavat. Also, the designers Rimple and Harpreet Narula who took care of costumes for the past sequence are the same who designed clothes for Padmaavat. The costumes in the film will look very similar to that of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period-drama.

Seems like this time the makers of Housefull have literally broadened the scale of their film and we cannot wait to watch the ‘royal’ Housefull.
