When western patterns like the classic checked print takes on traditional silhouette, we know that the combo is going to be fit for a modern girl. Case in point, Chitrangda Singh‘s latest desi look, where she wore a check pattern monochrome saree.
For the promotions of her upcoming movie Baazaar, celebrity stylist duo Pranay Jaitly and Shounak Amonkar from Who Wore What When picked this beautiful saree by Punit Balana. The monochrome traditional drape featured a checkered pattern and was teamed with an equally modern blouse. Unlike the usual cut, this blouse looked more like a top which has flute sleeves. Also, the contrast of stripes add to the drama. The black belt at the waist just ensures that this look is as contemporary as it can get. The stylists continued the greyscale with silver rings and earrings from My Motifs. Celebrity makeup artist and hairstylist Angelina Joseph rightfully kept Chitrangda’s makeup on a neutral tone with kohl eyes and let her mane loose.
