Alia Bhatt could not make it to yesterday’s 20-year anniversary celebration of Bollywood’s iconic movie, Kuch Kuch Hota Hain but she did have a special message for the dream team. In the video, she mentioned how she was inspired by Kajol‘s blunt cut, and as a 6-year old she made sure she got the same haircut and wore the wide hairband too. But unlike Alia’s keen fascination about the hairstyle, our eyes were on the stunning velvet dress she wore in the video.
For this special appearance, celebrity stylist Ami Patel chose a black dress by Silvia Tcherassi. The rich velvet dress had a pinstripe texture that we usually see in a tuxedo. The feminine details like the thin straps, the floor-grazing length and the thigh-high front slit all made this one a helluva look. Also, the huge bow at the waist defined it and the fact that it is in a different texture, made it stand out. She kept it simple and styled the dress with a pair of strappy black heels.
