Yesterday Karan Johar‘s directorial debut Kuch Kuch Hota Hai turned 20. Everything about the movie from the dialogues, the songs, and the fashion was a huge hit. Even as kids we wanted the hairbands like Anjali or tight GAP T-shirts or hoodies like Rahul. Last evening, Manish Malhotra actually revealed that back in 1997, when the movie was shot, they had gone to London to buy outfits for the characters and it was a big deal to do so back then. He also opened up about how many of Anjali’s sporty outfits were made here in India. Apart from the cast and crew of the film, many other Bollywood celebrities were present at the celebration. All of them said a few words and paid tribute to a movie that is now a cult classic, but the cutest part was when KJo came on stage to tell the audience that his children Roohi and Yash Johar had also given him a surprise to mark 20 years of KKHH. The two munchkins had apparently tried their hand at recreating Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s look from K2H2. While Yash went for a GAP hoodie complete with Rahul style sunglasses, Roohi went for a pink hoodie like Anjali.
Check it out.
