Karan Johar is one of the busiest producers-directors in Bollywood. He is also known to dabble in hosting award shows, acting, judging reality shows and playing host to many Bollywood celebrities on his show, Koffee With Karan. But the most special role he has ever played in his life has to be that of a parent. KJo is a single dad who became a parent through surrogacy and welcomed his twins, Yash and Roohi Johar into his heart and life in February last year.
The news came as a surprise to many in the industry and while his close friends and family knew about his decision, it left us surprised to find out who the first person to ever know about this was. While most assumed it to be his close friends Shah Rukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan or his mom, it was actually Deepika Padukone. As per a report in DNA, the secret was revealed on Koffee With Karan when Deepika and Alia Bhatt were shooting for the first episode of the show’s sixth season.

Karan recalls that neither his mother Hiroo Johar nor his brother Shah Rukh Khan had any inkling about his parenthood plans. And until he himself announced it a couple of months later, Deepika was the only one who knew about it and kept her promise of not breathing a word to anyone.
