It’s not news that when it comes to contemporary saree, Shilpa Shetty Kundra is a trailblazer in the industry. Every other outfit of hers is a new twist to the traditional drape and if we’re honest, we do keenly wait for her contemporary desi avatars.
For an award function in Sri Lanka, Shilpa wore a beautiful couture ensemble from Indian designer label, Falguni Shane Peacock. Celebrity stylist Sanjana Batra made the right choice with this bedazzled outfit. The contemporary drape was heavily embellished with feather details towards the hem and at the pallu. Even the off-shoulder ornate blouse with sheer sleeves made this a very modern saree interpretation, which Shilpa usually goes for. Plus, the outfit was all about glamour, which is synonymous to her style too.
Sanjana styled the ensemble with complementary jewellery from Mahesh Notandass. Celebrity makeup artist Ajay Shelar complemented the outfit with silver smokey eyes and mauve lips, whereas celebrity hairstylist Sheetal F Khan styled her mane in the signature wave.
The best part about this look was the fact that she wore it to even celebrate Karva Chauth overseas with her husband, Raj Kundra. That’s the very reason why the outfit was all the more special.
