The runway is where it all begins—Designers put their best foot forward to showcase the hottest trends of the season in their own personalized way, and that’s exactly what we spotted at Lotus Makeup India Fashion Week! Not only did we see major international runway styles come to life but we also spotted some fashion trends that could possibly change the bridal and streetwear game. So if you’re someone who is looking to try some fresh styles, check out these seven runway-approved fashion trends.
1. Pick The Pantsuits
The pantsuit is one of the biggest trends to hit the market and it’s already all over Bollywood. The hottest A-listers are wearing the trend, and now the runway approves too!
2. Dupattas 2.0
Dupattas had taken a backseat when it came to contemporary bridal wear a while ago, i.e most designs were kept basic and were either a solid colour or sheer. But lately, we’ve been seeing the ruffled dupatta gain more and more momentum in bridal wear.

3. Back To The Blouses
Who said your sarees should get all the attention. Usually, we see how the pally or the border of sarees is where most of the ‘work’ is focused on. But this time around, designers had a different plan. We saw contemporary, statement-making blouses take center stage and loved every minute of it!
4. Resort Wear Wins
Gone are the days when resort wear was confined to basic bikinis, sarongs and simple trunks for men, the LMIFW runway showed us the fun side to resort wear and it’s safe to say that we loved it.
5. Bump It Up With Bum Bags
These easy-to-carry bum bags, that can match almost anything you wear are something you definitely should consider investing in. We’ve seen bloggers, models, and designers style this versatile accessory with sarees, pantsuits and more.
6. Try The Tiers
From formal dresses to shararas and more, tiered clothing is becoming a hot favorite for the upcoming Spring-Summer season, and we cannot wait to get our hands on some of these gorg garments.
7. Contemporary Headgear
Hair and head accessories are a big trend this year and TBH, it’s the kind of trend we can totally get behind. From casual hats to head wraps and more, the runway gave us enough and more inspo to experiment with head and hair accessories.
