Hollywood is full of creative and extremely talented actors and directors. And when we talk about talent, it’s almost an insult to not talk about Leonardo DiCaprio, right? He started acting at a very early age and proved himself worthy of sticking around back in the early ’90s. With every movie, he became his character and basically won our hearts doing what he does best. Here are a few movies that prove he is one of the rarest gems we should all be grateful for.

1. What’s Eating Gilbert Grape (1993)

Leo was about 19 years old when he played an autistic younger brother to Johnny Depp in the movie. He performed extraordinarily well in his role and left us speechless!

2. The Basketball Diaries (1995)

In this movie, Leo plays a high school basketball star. His popularity leads him to be consumed by heroin. His role is pretty intense and no one could have done it better than him!

3. Titanic (1997)

A classic tale of girl meets boy that eventually turns into a devastating and tragic love story. Leo’s character and acting lifted the movie and contributed well to make the movie what it is.

4. Catch Me If You Can (2002)

Another brilliant performance by our main man! Of course, the script and direction were off the charts, but we can’t take away the amazing work done by him.

5. The Aviator (2004)

A multi-millionaire who has a passion for building aeroplanes, battles from OCD, paralysing phobias and depression. He was unbelievable in this role.

6. The Departed (2006)

The overall cast did a fab job in this movie, but Leo has definitely taken the cake when it comes to the best performance as an undercover cop, Billy Costigan.

7. Blood Diamond (2006)

His performance along with Djimon Hounsou took the movie to new heights. The story itself was so enthralling, that their roles complemented it further.

8. Inception (2010)

One of Christopher Nolan‘s finest work. What made it even better was the protagonist character played by Leo—Dom Cobb. His conflict between his mind playing games and the work that needs to be done was depicted well by him.

9. The Wolf Of Wall Street (2013)

This movie basically rested on Leonardo’s shoulder and boy, did he do a good job at that! From an entry-level job at a Wall Street brokerage firm to defrauding wealthy investors and earning millions was the journey of his character that he just nailed!

10. The Revenant (2015)

The story revolves around frontiersman, Hugh Glass who was abandoned by his hunting crew and betrayed by his companion seeks revenge with the help of his skills! He finally won the well-deserved Oscar for this one!
