Backtracking all these years, we can definitely see the transition the television industry has gone through. Even though it has changed drastically over the years, there are some TV shows that have stuck around and we still enjoy watching them even today. The white dog statue that’s in the boy’s apartment was originally given to Jennifer Aniston as a good luck present from her best friend when she started her acting career. She then lent it to the managers at Friends to use as a prop in the show.

3. How I Met Your Mother (2005)

Many actors on the show have had their partners in a few episodes. Alyson Hannigan‘s husband, Alexis Denisof, plays Sandy Rivers; Cobie Smulders husband Taran Killam, plays Blauman; and David Burtka, the husband of Neil Patrick Harris, plays Scooter on the show.

The third season of the show was accidentally released on Netflix two weeks before its official release. 17 minutes later, it was finally taken down.

The computers on the Dunder Mifflin office set were actually operational. Even during takes, the cast members would surf the net and check emails.

10. Sherlock (2010)

Many of the crew members in Sherlock (2010) are related. Sherlock’s parents are actually actor Benedict Cumberbatch‘s real-life parents. And Amanda Abbington (Mary Morstan) and Martin Freeman (John Watson) were partners in real-life!

Many times the cast members have used actual articles of clothing from the 1910s and 1920s. They were so delicate that they couldn’t be laundered and because of that, they wouldn’t smell the best.

12. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (2017)

Amy Sherman-Palladino was also the creator of the popular TV series Gilmore Girls (2000). There are many actors from Gilmore Girls that make an appearance in this show too.

13. Suits (2011)

Patrick J. Adams who plays Mike and Troian Bellisario who’s Claire on the show got married in 2016.

14. Entourage (2004)

Johnny Drama‘s story is based on actor Johnny Alves who is Mark Wahlberg‘s cousin IRL. And that’s why, in the first episode, Turtle mentions that Vince thought Johnny was his cousin until they were fourteen.

15. Modern Family (2009)

While still living in Colombia, Sofía Vergara would watch the Spanish-dubbed version of the show Married with Children (1986) who featured Ed O’Neill who plays her husband on Modern Family. Once she found out that she’s gonna be playing his wife on the show, she was disappointed to hear that he couldn’t speak Spanish.

16. Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013)

In one of the first few episodes, Terry Jeffords (Terry Crews) has to sketch the description of a criminal, due to the normal sketch artist calling in sick. This has really happened to Terry Crews IRL, at his first job as a sketch artist at the local news station when their regular artist fell sick too. Freaky? I think so!
