I remember sitting all snuggled up in my parents’ bed, right next to my brother and watching Lion King, a movie that moved me as a four-year-old. The life and works of a little cub named Simba and the destiny he had been called to made me believe in happy endings too. And that’s just the magic of Disney, isn’t it?
We, at Team MissMalini, are a little too excited right now as the remake of the OG Lion King will release in July 2019 and we’re sure you know why. Not only is it the remake of one of our favorite childhood films in such an ah-mazingly realistic way, but it has a stellar star cast too! Check it out:

- Donald Glover as Simba
- Beyoncé Knowles-Carter as Nala
- Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar

Hans Zimmer, the man behind the score of the original movie is also coming back alongside Elton John who will rework some of his original compositions, too—I mean, Can You Feel The Love To(night)day? We definitely can. With a cast and crew like this, the Walt Disney Picture looks like Lion King is going to be nothing short of iconic!
