If there is a paradise on earth, it has to be none other than Sri Lanka. This island-nation is one of it’s kind. I mean, it gave us Jacqueline Fernandes okay? Jokes apart (not a joke, but anyway), anyone who has been to Sri Lanka will not shut up about it. It is that beautiful! There are so many different places to visit, so many things to do, so many adventures to experience and a lot more. It’s apt for every kind of mood, vibe, occasion and situation. So, let’s break it down for every mood, shall we?

1. Leisure Time

The palm tree rope swing at Dalawella beach should be the first spot for an unforgettable sunset. As the name says, there is a rope swing attached to a palm tree where you can swing your stress away and just appreciate the beauty of nature. Maybe take some pictures for your #PicOfTheDay on Instagram. Ask for the guesthouse called Dream Cabana for the exact location of the swing, it is right in front of it.

2. Trek Or Hike?

Have you ever trekked through tea-plantations before? If not, this will be the most treasured hike of your life. If yes, this will still be the most treasured hike of your life. That’s the power of Sri Lanka’s beauty. You can find this beautiful trail in Nuwara Eliya. There are also high chances of gaining a lot of historical information about it, so make sure to interact with the locals!

If you’re a hiking person, you’re going to love Little Adams Peak hike. It is a shorter hike compared to the average ones, making it all the more unique. It is located in Ella, again a picturesque place to explore!

3. Safari Ride

One of our favourite moments in Sri Lanka was meeting these beautiful creatures in their natural surrounds! 🐘🐘🐘 ~~~~~ We visited both Udawalawe and Kaudulla National Park whilst traveling SL and we loved both for different reasons: 📍Udawalawe – this National Park has lots of trees and bushes so visibility is not so great, meaning you have to search for the elephants. However, this makes the exploring really fun and also means when you spot the elephants you might be the only jeep there for a while and get them all to yourself! 📍Kaudulla – this is more of an open plane so elephants are a lot easier to spot, we saw a herd of about 20 right at the very start of our safari! In August the elephants gather at the vast lakes for the migration so there are 100-200 elephants in plain sight! They’re a lot easier to see but it’s not necessarily as fun in the jeep! ~~~~~ If you do want to see elephants in Asia please be sure to book yourself onto a jeep safari in a National Park. These beautiful animals are free to roam in their natural surrounds with little to no direct human contact. Promise us you’ll NEVER ride an elephant on the street or in a ‘sanctuary’ or ‘orphanage’. It may feel like you’re getting closer to these giants but you’re just supporting animal cruelty and exploitation for tourism!! 👎🏽 ~~~~~ #trilanka #trilankahotel #srilanka #srilankadaily #srilankatravel #srilankan #srilankatrip #srilankatoday #srilanka🇱🇰 #srilanka_travel #safari #elephant #elephants #elephantsafari #udawalawe #kaudulla #sheisnotlost #darlingescapes #travelgirlsgo #globegettergal #girlsLOVEtravel #girlsmeetglobe #girlsvsglobe #sheexplores #travelgirl #girlsborntotravel #globelletravels #nomadgirls #travelgirlsgo #brazentraveler
