‘Tis the season to get married, om mangalam mangalam. After the fantabulous #Deepveer wedding and multiple receptions (There’s one more on the 1st of December. So, stay tuned for that!), it’s now our Desi girl’s turn to get married to her videsi babu. Nick Jonas (Jiju for us, of course) and Priyanka Chopra kickstarted their wedding festivities with a puja which was held at her Mumbai residence yesterday. Nick’s brother Joe Jonas and soon-to-be sister in law Sophie Turner were also joined them for the same. The couple along with their family and close friends left to Jodhpur today morning and the wedding festivities must have begun in full swing by now. Reports suggest that the Mehendi and Sangeet will take place at Umaid Bhawan Palace as well and we got to know some exclusive details about the plan for today. We’re sure the Sangeet is going to be one helluva an event. Since I’m not invited to it, all I can do is speculate and wish for things to happen. So here I am curating a playlist of songs that I think would set the stage on fire if played at the #Nickyanka sangeet.
So here we go:
1. Tenu Leke – Salaam-e-Ishq
I mean if we don’t find a video of Nick jiju lip syncing and dancing to this number at some point, I think I’ll be disappointed.
2. Tune Maari Entriyaan – Gunday
Probably exactly what Nick’s videsi heart must be doing every time he looks at his fiance
3. Desi Girl – Dostana
I mean, the bride has to have her own mix and this should be on top of that.
4. Mujse Shaadi Karoge Title track – Mujse Shaadi Karoge
Unless jiju has already proposed to Priyanka by singing this song, this needs to be in the mandatory sangeet mix!
5. Gallan Goodiyan – Dil Dhadakne Do
The dance number no wedding can do without. So, duh.
6. Laal Dupatta – Mujse Shaadi Karoge
I think PeeCee would kill it if she danced on Laal Dupatta.
7. Suche Suche – What’s Your Rashee?
Yes. Yes. Yes.
8. Ram Chahe Leela – Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela
Picture this. Priyanka Chopra putting up a performance for Nick Jonas. If that happens, this has to be that song. Sure the room would get quite hot and heavy, but hey! No one should miss out on this performance.
9. Salaam- e-Ishq title track – Salaam-e-Ishq
Mandatory Sangeet mix.
10. Raat Ke Dhai Baje – Kaminey
Just for that kick while doing the hook step. Imagine how cute Nick and PeeCee would look doing the hook step for this song?
11. Say Na Say Na – Bluffmaster
This is already an engagement song, so obviously it needs to play at Priyanka’s wedding.
12. Exotic – PeeCee’s hit single
If not dance to this, this should definitely play on the occasion just to reiterate the fact that Pardesi babu ne, iss desi dil ko maan liya hai.
13. Please Be Mine – Jonas Brother
Imagine the Jonas brothers came together again to put up a performance! If that happens, there’s no song better than this that Nick can dedicate to Priyanka.
14. Bom Bidi Bom – Fifty Shades Freed
I mean who wouldn’t want to add a fifty shades touch to the whole mix?
15. Pinga – Baajirao Mastaani
A classic dance number, hence.
That’s our list. We’re sure there are many more that can be added to the list. Add to this one and tell us your favourite PeeCee or Nick song.
But on a serious note, Ganesh Hegde is rumoured to be chroregraphing the entire Sangeet ceremony and reports suggest that Priyanka will be dancing to Desi girl and putting up a kathak performance.
