If there’s something we love more than a big fat Bollywood wedding, it’s definitely the consequential babies. While some moms-to-be, like Neha Dhupia, choose to flaunt their bump; others like Asin manage exceptionally well to keep their pregnancy away from the media glare. Then there are babies who make headlines even before they are born, Zain Kapoor, for example; and we also have surrogate babies like Sunny Leone‘s twins – Asher & Noah. Just putting this out there – we love all these tiny bundles of joy!
Here’s an year-end recap of all the li’l ones born in 2018:
1. Mehr Dhupia Bedi
Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi got married this year on May 10 and welcomed their baby girl, Mehr on November 18. On Neha’s podcast show No Filter Neha, Angad had also opened up about her pregnancy before their wedding. Check out their little doll here.
2. Zain Kapoor
Mira and Shahid Kapoor‘s baby no. 2 was born on September 5, 2018. His mommy introduced him on social media and even shared a cute picture of Misha Kapoor playing with her baby brother.
3. Asher Singh Weber & Noah Singh Weber
Sunny Leone has embraced motherhood in perhaps the most beautiful way ever. She adopted Nisha Singh Weber from Latur in Maharashtra, last year. Earlier this year, she announced the arrival of her twin boys – Noah & Asher. Their family is beautiful and perfect, isn’t it?!
4. Varun Dhawan’s niece
David Dhawan‘s son, Rohit Dhawan and daughter-in-law, Jaanvi Dhawan became parents to a little girl in June this year. While we don’t know the li’l one’s name, we do know that Varun is a doting chachu and loves his baby niece to bits. Awww!
5. Shamsher Kapoor
Director Abhishek Kapoor and his wife, Pragya Yadav welcomed their second son, Shamsher on August 28th. Their elder son, Isana is 3 years old. Co-incidentally, Abhishek’s superhit film, Rock On also released on the same date as the birth of his second son, 10 years ago. Guess we finally know Gattu’s lucky number!
6. Aadya Talpade
Shreyas Talpade and his wife, Deepti became parents to Aadya this May, through surrogacy. Reportedly, the couple was on a vacation in Hong Kong when they got a call from their doctor saying that the surrogate had gone into labour. They immediately returned to the country and the baby was born while they were mid-air.
7. Tegh Sonik
The year started on a beautiful note for Sunidhi Chauhan and her husband, Hitesh Sonik as their li’l boy, Tegh arrived on January 1, 2018. The singer often shares cute pictures of her son on Instagram and even takes him along for gigs. This one sure is a power mom!
8. Karrma Suri
Mohit Suri and Udita Goswami have a knack for choosing unconventional names for their babies. They named their first born, a girl as Devee Suri and now their second child, born on November 21, will be called Karrma. Bold, beautiful and away from the ordinary, aren’t they?!
9. Izhaan Mirza Malik
Two of the most loved sportspersons and power couple, Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik welcomed baby Mirza Malik, Izhaan in October this year. On a not-very-unrelated note, I totally love their baby hashtag and the fact that it incorporates both their surnames.
