Earlier this year in July, Sonali Bendre opened up about being diagnosed with a high grade cancer on social media. We were shocked, heartbroken and at the same time, in awe of how she was handling this sharp turn in life with so much strength.
Over the past few months, Sonali has often shared parts of her journey on Instagram – the incredible support of her husband, Goldie Behl, the courage she gathers from her friends, her struggle with vanity and lots more. However, what made us the happiest was her post from yesterday, announcing that she is coming back home.

Sonali and Goldie returned to Mumbai in the wee hours of morning and the latter informed the media that she is recovering well. As per a report in Mid-Day, he said:
It’s been six months and I would like to inform everybody that Sonali is doing good and she is back for good. She is recovering very well. Thank you all for the love and support. Her treatment is over, for now, Sonali is absolutely fine. Just like what happens in such diseases – regular checkups, regular scans that we have to do since this disease can come back.
He further added:
For now there is nothing as such that she will have to go back for. I am very happy that she is back home. Like any other patient, she will have to go for regular checkups. She is a very strong and determined woman and I am very proud of her.
