Every December, Pantone releases their colour predictions for the forthcoming year. As a beauty addict, I eagerly await their announcement to see what shade will be reigning my makeup kit for the next 365 days. Luckily, 2019’s hue seems right up my alley!
As an ode to our current digital and social lives, Pantone has declared ‘Living Coral’ to be the shade of 2019. The vibrant pinkish-orange hue exudes lightheartedness and optimism, whilst still being a warm and nurturing colour. Plus, the shade is super flattering on all skin tones and is available in a ton of makeup products. If you would like to start working with this trendy shade, here are some products that you can try:
This punchy coral blush is bound to brighten up even the sallowest of complexions. With its silky and weightless consistency, this rouge promises to blend in seamlessly to deliver a soft, flushed effect.
Is anyone not obsessed with Fenty Beauty? Rihanna’s uber cool makeup line actually features a pinkish-peach highlighter that embodies 2019’s colour. The stick makes it easy to dot on the formula, whilst the shimmering finish helps achieve an otherworldly glow.
If you aren’t too confident of wearing coral on your face, you can opt for a nail polish like this one to stay on trend. The vivid shade will create a statement-worthy manicure that will look fun, yet sophisticated.
This palette fits right in with next year’s theme. Not only does it feature a bunch of coral hues in matte and shimmery finishes, but also has a few complimentary shades to work with.
Looking for something to amp up the drama? Stila’s high impact, liquid eye shadow is definitely the one for you. The peach shadow has a sheer golden sheen that looks incredible when applied. Since the consistency is thin and water-like, you can easily build up the colour to get the intensity you desire.
This pretty, golden tube houses one of the most comfortable lipsticks out there. ‘Guava’ is a beautiful, true coral shade that will keep your lips hydrated and plush.
Glossy lips are making a comeback, so this product follows two fads in one go! The formula goes on smoothly to leave behind an ultra shiny coat of coral on your pout.
