Leave it to Sonam Kapoor Ahuja to give us a major throwback to the Victorian era. The fearless fashionista experiments with silhouettes like no one else in B-Town, and we love her for this. She is a trailblazer for sure, and her dressing sense generally is of someone who truly loves fashion. Major credit also goes to her sister, Rhea Kapoor, who styles her in the chicest styles out there.
For yesterday’s event, Sonam had Victorian era on her mind. Rhea styled her in a white dress that might look simple but when zoomed in, had all the good sartorial details. The fit and flare dress from Philippe Perisse takes a cue from old Victorian era silhouette. The floor-length dress had a mandarin collar and slightly puffy sleeves. Even the way she accessorised the dress was also classic. She wore pearl earrings from Azotiique, rings from Anmol Jewellers and Louis Vuitton shoes. Even the circular Louis Vuitton Petite Boite Chapeau Bag got the bygone vibe of the outfit on point. Celebrity makeup and hairstylist Namrata Soni matched up to the formal attire with a muted dewy look and a sleek bun with a middle parting.
