1. Alia Bhatt
Professionally, this year started on a high note for Alia with her film, Raazi. We all know that she is a fantastic actor but with this spy thriller, she proved that she will kill it with her performance no matter what the role is. We loved her as Sehmat in Raazi and we are sure you did too.
2. Sara Ali Khan
We were expecting a lot from Sara in her debut film, Kedarnath and let us tell you, she did live up to all the expectations. The debutante won a lot of accolades for her performance from the critics and audience. We are now looking forward to seeing her in Simmba opposite Ranveer Singh. 2018 has indeed been special for Sara.
3. Katrina Kaif
After seeing Katrina in the trailer of Zero, we were intrigued to know more about her role. When the film finally released, Katrina was surely the surprise package in the film. We loved her performance and we have to say that this is one of her career-best performances.
4. Deepika Padukone
There was already a lot of curiosity around Padmaavat and everyone was waiting to see what the period drama had to offer. The film did manage to live up to the hype and Deepika’s performance was highly appreciated. From her dance number to the dialogue delivery to the climax scene which gave almost everyone goosebumps, DP did complete justice to her character of Padmavati.
5. Neena Gupta
Badhaai Ho was one of the most loved films of the year and one major reason for that was the performance of the actors. Neena ji deserved a special mention in the list because this film would have been incomplete without her. Honestly, we don’t think anyone but Neena Gupta could have played this role.
6. Kareena Kapoor Khan
Within months of welcoming her son, Taimur Ali Khan, Bebo got back to the shoot of her film, Veere Di Wedding. Kareena seldom disappoints us with her performance and we enjoyed seeing her as Kalindi on the big screen.
7. Swara Bhasker
Swara is another actor we loved in Veere Di Wedding. Not every actress has the guts to pull off a role like Sakshi. She is one of the best actresses we have in the industry today and we love watching her performances.
8. Rani Mukerji
Though we don’t get to see Rani in the movies as often as we did, she makes sure the films that we see remain memorable. In 2018, we saw her as a teacher suffering from Tourette syndrome in Hichki and it’s a performance which will remain special for years to come.
9. Sanya Malhotra
After Dangal, we saw Sanya in Pataakha and she has been giving one powerful performance after another. We also have to mention her in the film Badhaai Ho. Tell us, which was your favourite Sanya performance?
10. Radhika Madan
The other actress in the film, Radhika made her debut with Pataakha and what a dhamakedaar performance it was! Radhika as Badki in the film was the perfect fit for the role. Don’t you agree?
11. Taapsee Pannu
2018 has been a great year for Taapsee! Soorma, Mulk and Manmarziyaan are three films we’ve loved Taapsee in this year. We love how she picks roles which are different from each other.
12. Anushka Sharma
First Pari followed by Sanju, Sui Dhaaga and Zero, Anushka definitely knows how to offer a variety to the audience. Though she was one of the most memed celebrity this year, her performance is what we will remember in 2018.
13. Tabu
Every actor in Andhadhun was like a piece of the puzzle without which the film would have been incomplete. Tabu plays every role with so much perfection that we love her no matter which character she is playing.
14. Nushrat Bharucha
If you didn’t like Nushrat’s character in Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, it’s a win for Nushrat! Her character was not very likeable but definitely worth a mention in this list.
15. Shraddha Kapoor
Stree and Batti Gul Meter Chalu were two releases of Shraddha this year. We also saw her in the dance number High Rated Gabru from the film Nawabzaade. With Stree 2 in the pipeline, we are waiting to see the actress in that film now.
16. Richa Chadha
Richa is one actress who totally gets into the skin of the character she plays. In Love Sonia too, she does complete justice to her character. That’s the reason Richa is one of the finest actors in Bollywood today.
17. Mrunal Thakur
Debutante Mrunal put her heart and soul into Love Sonia. It’s not easy to play a character which will take a toll on you, emotionally. But Mrunal took up Sonia’s character in the film based on human trafficking and proved her talent as an actress.
18. Radhika Apte
Apart from all the Netflix memes, we also saw some amazing performances by Radhika in Padman, Andhadhun, Lust Stories and Baazaar.
