Pimples are gross, annoying and very much unwanted. But the way I see it, you need to really know your pimple in order to fix it! Below, is a timeline and stages of your pimple from its inception to the when it appears on the surface of your face. Sometimes they can be due to your hormones, while sometimes it’s what you eat and drink. Nonetheless, scroll below to check out every stage of your pimple.
This is the phase where you begin to see those tiny zits and marks come up. Zero warning, zero update, they just spring up and rest on your skin. Most times they might be cystic ones due your hormones, but they’re nonetheless annoying and painful. So instead of picking at it, just let it rest out for a bit and then go in with an anti-cyst treatment/serum. Try to find products with lactic acid as it’ll calm the zit from coming up in all its glory. You can use a spot treatment for this as well.
This is when the pimple starts looking extra red and pink. If the pimple isn’t caused by hormones or is a cystic pimple, the best thing you can use is a pimple drying treatment. This can be in the form of a cream or a lotion with salicylic acid. But make sure to use a Q-tip to apply it because most times our hands carry germs and dirt. What the cream or lotion does, is dry up the zit and exfoliate the area. But just try not to overuse this as it’ll dry your skin and clog pores.
Once you see that white-headed monster, you know that your pimple has officially come up, onto the surface of your skin. Some pop it, some leave it alone. But if you do end up popping, make sure it pops easily. If not, stop and use a zit cream instead. But if you do pop the zit, follow it up with a toner to disinfect the area and the infection. A toner kills the bacteria and puts a stop to any future pimples from appearing.
