Right at the beginning of 2018, we saw Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh in a movie together. Though they didn’t share screen space, we were just glad that they were in yet another movie together. Then towards the end of the year, the two tied the knot and honestly, we still haven’t gotten over the couple’s dreamy wedding photos. All in all, 2018 was a very special year for #DeepVeer. But looks like we will not get to see Deepika and Ranveer in a movie together in 2019. In an interaction with DNA, the actor revealed that they will not have any film together in the new year.
Ranveer said:
My wife and I will not have a film together this year. I’m hoping that filmmakers will approach the two of us with a script that we like and can take it forward. I’m looking forward to sharing screen space with her.
Reportedly, Ranveer and Deepika’s love story started on the sets of their first film together, Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram Leela. After that, the two have also worked together in Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat. Ranveer also spoke about their chemistry.
He said:
The chemistry between us is extra special. It has been seen and proven. Much as I am truly, madly and deeply in love with her, I am aching to act with Deepika again. As a fan of her work, I have been waiting patiently for her to commit to a film. And, I’m truly overjoyed that she has committed to working with Meghna Gulzar on Chhapaak. In fact, when she told me that she had liked the script and would be acting as well as co-producing it, I said, ‘Hallelujah! She has finally liked something’.
These two have always been so supportive and encouraging of each other’s work. That is something all couples should learn from them. As for DeeVeer, we adore them!
