The award ceremony was held at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California.

Who Were The Hosts?

The super funny Andy Samberg and extremely talented, Sandra Oh hosted the event.

Sandra Oh’s Emotional Monologue

While hosting the event, Sandra got emotional while talking about diversity in Hollywood. She said,

I said yes to the fear of being on this stage tonight because I wanted to be here to look out into this audience and witness this moment of change. Next year could be different. But right now, this moment is real. Trust me, it is real. Because I see you, and I see you. All these faces of change. And now, so will everyone else

The Introduction To The Carol Burnett Award

This year, a new award was introduced at the Golden Globes. It was established to honour the living legend, Carol Burnett. This namesake award was given to her last evening at the ceremony itself and will now be an annual affair. The HFPA wanted to honour television artists as they do with the Cecil B. DeMille award for the movie fraternity. When she received this, she asked,

Does this mean I get to accept this every year?

Glenn Close‘s Priceless Expression On Winning

Everyone including Glenn Close herself thought Lady Gaga would bag the award for ‘Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture—Drama’. Her expression on winning was epic! Even her endearing speech on receiving the award won us over.

Not The Kind Of Shots We Expected

Instead of handing our pizza or more Champagne, the hosts, Sandra and Andy decided to give out free flu shots to the celebrities.

Maya Rudolph and Amy Poehler Being Funny AF

Remember last year’s Emmy proposal that caught a lot of attention? Well, these two mocked that moment in a really humorous way.

The #FijiWaterGirl Who ‘Served’ The Celebrities

The official sponsor for the awards was Fiji Water and they plugged-in their brand so cleverly during the ceremony. At the red carpet, the #FijiWaterGirl was caught photobombing many celebrities like Richard Madden, Nicole Kidman, Jim Carrey, Dakota Fanning and more making people believe that she should’ve won the award for Best Supporting Role.
