Ever since The Accidental Prime Minister was announced, it has been surrounded by a number of controversies. And it looks like legal trouble isn’t over the film yet. After a petition was filed by Advocate Sudhir Ojha, on Tuesday, a local court in Bihar ordered to lodge an FIR against 15 people associated with the film. Anupam Kher, who plays the role of Dr Manhoman Singh, Akshaye Khanna, who plays Sanjay Baru, along with the movie’s director and producer, are some names included in the complaint.
After seeing the promos of the film, Ojha has alleged in his complaint that “the film projected the country and a host of its political leaders in very poor light”. In an interaction with Indian Express, Ojha said that the film will only cause more hatred.

He said:

The film looks to be making an attempt to berate former PM Dr Manmohan Singh. Such a film will provoke only ill-will, enmity and portray us in a bad light internationally.

The Accidental Prime Minister, which is based on a book by Sanjay Baru, the then media advisor of the former PM is set to release on 11th January.
