#Repost @nonchalantgourmand with @get_repost ・・・ @houseofdaaruwala opens up in Lokhandwala. While Irani cafes have a long-standing association with Mumbai, the diners in the burbs rarely had a chance to indulge in nostalgic meals (most of them, I think about 20 exist down South). While comfort reigns in this bhonu, the new age cafes bring in some of Mumbai's street too. While I'm still trying to figure the inclusion of pizzas / pastas on the menu, I guess that's what a crowded little locality might extend their focus towards. Did see a gaggle of giggling teens gang up on a paneer slider with as much gusto on the chicken faarcha (which was delicious by the way). I stuck to the classics from Sali Boti, Dhansak, Lagan Nu Custard and an interesting stir fried egg-fry dish with a tangy kokum drink I converted into a mocktail. Interestingly, a street down – the Starbucks is a goldmine for people watching, dressed to the nines on a weeknight. I guess shooting shows all day long does make you crave a large sugary latte in red high heels and verticle striped jumpsuits. Thanks for the company and all the laughs @priya.r.kapur @nikhilkoparde
