Babies are notorious for having the smoothest and softest skin ever. Almost all of us sadly lose our pillowy soft skin as we get older. But what if I tell you that soft skin isn’t that hard to achieve? Keep reading to find out how you can get the smoothest skin ever!

1. Drink Tons Of Water

You’ve probably heard this a million times already, but water truly is the elixir of life. Drinking half your weight in ounces of water will keep your skin hydrated from within. Water also has its way of making skin look refreshed and rejuvenated. It will make your skin super smooth and clear it of any blemishes.

2. Exfoliate

Most of the times, the obstacle that stands in the way of us and soft skin isn’t dryness, it is the layer of dead skin cells that accumulate. If the dead skin cells aren’t removed, moisturising your skin will make no difference as you’re only smoothing the same rough layer over and over again. Exfoliating is a necessary step for all skin types and should be done at least once a week for soft skin. Scrubs and cleansers work well for daily use and chemical peels and facials are great for deep exfoliation.

3. Follow A Skincare Routine

A simple and trust-worthy skincare routine is key for achieving soft, youthful skin. A skincare routine doesn’t have to be high maintenance or consist of all a lot of products, a few good quality products will work just fine. Every product should be suited to your skin type and cater to your skin issues. If you take the time to do your skincare routine every day, your skin will definitely reward you with super soft and smooth skin.

4. Treat Yourself To Facials

Facials are great for nourishing your skin and keeping it hydrated. If you don’t have the time to take care of your skin properly every day, a facial once a week will give your skin some much-needed TLC. Facials don’t always have to cost you a bomb, DIY facials work just fine and can be made with ingredients you already have in your kitchen.

5. Avoid Smoking + Drinking

Smoking cigarettes deprive the skin of oxygen and nutrients which in turn ages our skin faster and makes it look dull and lifeless. Alcohol isn’t great for our skin either. It dehydrates our skin from within which leads to flaky, rough skin. It can also cause breakouts and puffiness, so it’s best to limit any alcohol intake.
We hope that following these simple steps will help you achieve the smoothest and softest skin ever.
