Like most star kids, Amitabh Bachchan‘s granddaughter, Navya Nanda is also under the limelight, especially on social media. However, the gorgeous star kid made it very clear long back that she has no interest in pursuing a career in Bollywood. Looks like the decision was heavily influenced by her loving mother’s concerns.
Shweta Bachchan Nanda was on the latest episode of Koffee With Karan with her brother Abhishek Bachchan and she admitted being scared of letting Navya enter the film industry. She said:
I think I was excessive, I was unfair, I thought selfishly… One of the bonuses of coming from a family that’s in the movies, I know the heartbreak. I see their faces when things don’t work out. I am on Instagram and I see the hate that he (Abhishek) gets… I have had sleepless nights and I don’t want another member of the family entering the industry, for selfish reasons.
Shweta confessed that she kind of led Navya to believe that showbiz is a risky and dangerous place to be, which is why her daughter did not even think of giving acting a shot. Well, our parents do have our best interest in mind, don’t they?!
