Ranveer Singh is one actor who is known to get into the skin of his on-screen characters. While promoting every new film of his, he becomes his character and we get to see glimpses of it via videos on social media too. We all know that Ranveer is busy with the promotions of his upcoming film, Gully Boy. And recently, he was spotted outside a recording studio. Right there, he bumped into some of his fans and can you guess what happened next? He started rapping to his song, Mere Gully Mein, which was recently released.
How I wish I had the energy this man has!
In an interaction with the media, Ranveer had said that Gully Boy is a film that is very dear to him. “I strongly feel for these people that the character is based on. It’s a very difficult life and they find their expression as artists. They have started a music scene that is so unique. You have to read what these kids are writing. They are 17, 19, in their early 20s, and they are writing social commentary about what’s messed up in the system. They are making such strong observations and comments over the state of affairs. I believe it will affect social change because thousands of kids listen to their music now. I want to do what I can to give a platform to this amazing new musical talent,” he had said.
Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the film is inspired by the journeys of Indian rappers Vivian Fernandes, who we know as Divine and Naved Shaikh who is popular as Neazy.
