We’re still buzzing with the new season’s vibe that Lakmé Fashion Week presented us with last week. The designers had new, interesting silhouettes for us and some refreshing colours too. Of course, the trailblazers had to be celebs who got their hands on the trends before they even hit the ramp! Yup, we’re talking about the celebs who were the cheerleaders for the designers that showcased their work at Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2019. Here are some of the street style looks that we’ve bookmarked for the new season:
Yami Gautam wore a perfect summer dress with details that ticked off all the right boxes.
The Victorian neckline and the sheer yoke panel was such a classic touch to the flirty summer number. Plus, those sheer stylish sleeves added to the drama of the dress!
Guys, this is how you’ll be wearing saree this summer! The scallop-hem saree was belted at the waist and when teamed with the high-neck, same print sleeveless blouse, it gave us a chic desi look in the end.
Tanishaa Mukerji showed us another way to upgrade a saree look. Team your traditional drape with a knitted V-neck top and you’ll have a refreshing look for the transition from winter to summer.
Ditch your basic white shirt this summer and go for something cropped and stylized like Karishma Tanna. Pair it with a button-down A-line skirt and you’ll have a winning OOTD.
The loose shape of the dhoti pants is exactly what you need this summer, and Kim Sharma showed us how to jazz it up for an event. The off-shoulder sheer layer crop top just completed the event-ready look.
Matching separates have now become a quintessential need for summer. Add a sheer dupatta to the coordinated ensemble like Kritika Kamra and you’ll have a contemporary desi look instantly!
All black, errything is the motto we live by too. But we’re lovin’ the pop of pink that Mandira Bedi brought to the outfit with the clutch.
Tahira Kashyap sported a three-piece, all-white look that screamed summer! Those loose pleated pants are something we’re definitely going to add to our wardrobe this season.
Jim Sarbh proved that quirky, printed shirts are not just for women. We love how he off-sets it with black and a statement necklace.
Riteish Deshmukh showed us how to wear a statement asymmetric bandgala and look extremely groomed while doing so.
The red and white combo has now become a classic, but red pants are still a daring piece of clothing for some. Dino Morea showed us how to balance it with the right amount of white.
Arjun Kapoor’s look mixed and matched formal and casual wear. Plus, the studded top hat and the tinted sunglasses gave a very retro vibe to the whole look.
The checkered jacket and the yellow belt was such a cool combo. We never knew that this combo would’ve worked for a chic men’s look too, but Priyank Sharma proved otherwise.
So, which one of these celeb styles would you be seen in, this summer? Let us know in the comments below.
