Kangana Ranaut‘s film and first directorial venture, Manikarnika, has been in the news for a long time. The movie which depicts the life of the fearless warrior-queen has had its fair share of ups and downs. Now that the film has released, Kangana is irked with some actors in Bollywood for not responding to her messages. She believes that Bollywood hasn’t been supporting her because she spoke out about nepotism. Kangana mentioned Alia Bhatt‘s name also among the B-Town folks who didn’t support her during the film’s release. After the Tanu Weds Manu actress’ lash out, Alia responded to her statements during her recent interview with Asian Age.

The actress said:

I didn’t follow that controversy at all. I was too busy shooting. I will always support actresses and actors for the films that they do and if they are in any trouble but this is something personal, which I don’t think is fair for any of us to get into. Kangana is a strong woman and very outspoken and a fab actress. If she ever needs support, I am sure people will stand up for her but I don’t think she gives that feeling that she needs support.

During recent media interactions, the actress also revealed that she hasn’t intentionally done anything to upset Kangana and if she has, she will personally apologise to her.

On the work front, Alia has been busy promoting her film, Gully Boy with Ranveer Singh which releases on 14th February.
