Bollywood is one giant pool of talent that brings to light artists and individuals from different creative backgrounds. Over the years, B-Town has truly discovered many gifted artists be it actors, dancers, singers or technicians. It’s these artists who came and conquered our hearts with their immense talent and contribution to the world of cinema. One of the latest singers on the block who left us impressed with her very first song for a Hindi film is Shannon Donald. She made her debut in Bollywood as a playback singer by lending her voice to the peppy track, Good Morning from Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga!
Here’s what you need to know about her, stat! Shannon is a singer/songwriter from Mumbai, India. She has been singing professionally since the age of 16 & has since performed with many esteemed artists from the music industry. She currently tours as the female lead vocalist for Farhan Akhtar & Ayushmann Khurrana‘s respective touring bands. Besides Farhan and Ayushmann, the singer has toured all over the world with artists like Shankar Ehsaan Loy, Salim-Sulaiman, Sunidhi Chauhan, Mohit Chauhan, as well as worked on background scores for A R Rahman, Vishal Bhardwaj, Ajay-Atul, Pritam and Amit Trivedi.
Did you think I was done? Well, not quite, Shannon has also been a frequent vocalist on MTV Coke Studio & MTV Unplugged India from 2011 to 2015. Not just Bollywood, Shannon has lent her voice to jingles for television commercials & has sung for multiple FMCG brands too.
