After the recent Pulwama attacks, several celebrities came forward to offer their condolences or lash out at the horrendous act or simply put forth their point of view regarding the incident.
Navjot Singh Sidhu also spoke about the attacks on our CRPF jawaans but he faced a lot of backlash for his comments. He was at the receiving end of a lot of virtual hatred and was eventually ousted from The Kapil Sharma Show. Shilpa Shinde came forward to his defence and expressed her views on the ban culture, which she also faced earlier in her career.
In an interview with IWMbuzz, she said that everyone has the right to occupation and a livelihood cannot be denied to anyone who doesn’t concur with certain views. She also batted for the rights of Pakistani artistes and felt that talent shouldn’t come in the way of politics.
Soon after her vocal support for Sidhu, Shilpa reportedly received a lot of backlash and rape threats online. As per a report in Pinkvilla, the actress plans to take legal action against those who attack women and other journalists for speaking their mind.
