The CEO of Salman Khan‘s Being Human Clothing and The Mandhana Retail Ventures Ltd., Manish Mandhana has reportedly been accused of sexual assault by model-actor, Andria D’Souza.

As per a report in Mid-Day, Andria filed an FIR at the Gamdevi police station on March 4, alleging that Mandhana physically abused her in November 2017. She also claims to have developed sensorineural hearing loss in her right ear after the attack.

The Kamasutra 3D actress related the entire incident of her turmoil to Mid-Day, recalling that she first met Mandhana in 2015 during the launch of a Being Human store in Dubai. They started chatting on social media in October that year. After shuttling between Dubai and Mumbai since 2013 in order to look for work, Andria finally shifted base to Mumbai in December 2015.

She told Mid-Day:

I met Manish in person then (December 2015), and we hit it off instantly. I was aware that he was married, but he lied to me saying that his marriage was practically over and that his wife and he were staying together for their kids. I believed him. We were in a happy space until mid-2017 when I learnt that he had said similar things to another woman and later dumped her. When I confronted him, he denied it.

The first incident of physical abuse reportedly happened in August 2017 when a friend of Andria’s confided in her that Manish tried to touch her inappropriately. When Andria confronted him about it, he allegedly beat her up. Andria also revealed to the publication that she had to skip her audition for Bigg Boss 11 as her face was swollen.

As per the reports, Manish got violent with her a few months later in November too, when she found out about his flirtatious text messages to another woman. Thereafter, she reportedly slipped into depression and often got convulsions. 6 months later, she was told that the nerve in her right ear was damaged. The medical records of her injury, along with the pictures have been submitted to the police.

Manish Mandhana’s organisation holds the exclusive manufacturing and distribution rights of Being Human Clothing and is one of the top players in the high street fashion sector. It was due to his power and position that Andria took so long to talk about her suffering and seek justice.
